October 2016 Forest Plan Revision Update: Thank you for a productive summer! Fall is in the air but summer’s forest plan revision events are fresh in our minds. May through September 2016 were productive thanks to your participation in the 90-day comment period associated with the release of the draft environmental impact statement (EIS) and draft forest plans for the Inyo, Sequoia and Sierra National Forests. The comment period began May 27th with the Notice of Availability published in the Federal Register: the comment period closed August 29th. Throughout the summer we saw and heard from many of you. We held 11 public meetings (8 near the forests and 3 in urban areas), 6 tribal forums on the forests, and 1 public webinar. Through these This email address is being protected from spambots.
