Dear Dinkey Collaborative members and interested parties,
Please review the following 3 items, including the Bald Mountain proposed action planning matrix, January webinar registration links, and a recently published fisher article.
1. PROPOSED ACTION MATRIX WITH MEMBER TEXT IS ATTACHED – LET US KNOW IF NEED A HARD COPY
Attached is a Word version of the Bald Mountain proposed action planning matrix that includes the text submitted by different individuals. I'm attaching it in Word so that during conversations you can enter text here as you follow along during the technical webinars (January 8 and 10) and/or in-person webinars (January 16).
The document is also posted to DataBasin under Supporting Documents --> Bald Mountain Data.
2. JANUARY WEBINAR REGISTRATION LINKS AND TELECONFERENCE LINE
January 8, webinar, 9 am to 12 noon: Meadows and Road Decommissioning
January 10, webinar, 9 am to 12 noon: Reese Unit Planning
January 16, in person: Wildlife (9 am to 12 noon) and Vegetation (1 to 4 pm) Note this is an in-person meeting. The webinar link is only if you cannot attend in-person; with a large group in-person it will be hard to participate via webinar given the acoustics. Note this is the same link for both webinars:
Same teleconference line for each webinar (you must call in separately from joining via webinar):
1-888-858-2144, access code 8441668#
3. NEW FISHER ARTICLE – DOWNLOAD LINK
Chip Ashley has shared the following link to the article by Zhao et al (2012), "Characterizing habitats associated with fisher den structures in the Southern Sierra Nevada, California using discrete return lidar." It is also posted on DataBasin under Supporting Documents --> Living Library --> Fisher Documents:
Happy new year!
