(Sept 12, 2013) - The Fish and Wildlife Service has released the following status of the Desert Tortoise Recovery Implementation Team process and draft recovery action plans.

"The Fish and Wildlife Service is completing an internal review of the draft plans, including the survey responses and additional comments on the RIT process. Once we have completed this review, we will notify the RITs and will begin making plans for the remainder of the year. In the meantime, please remember that the draft recovery action plans are not yet ready for broader distribution."
