Private logging operations starting September 5 and continuing until winter will impact use of Rattlesnake Road (Forest Road 85) in Tahoe National Forest. There will be approximately 35 log trucks per day hauling on the road.  OHV vehicles will not be allowed on Rattlesnake Road during this time (including weekends).  Street-legal vehicles are allowed, but discouraged due for public safety concerns due to the heavy equipment, narrow road, and few pullouts.

Please contact the Yuba River Ranger District for more information at (530) 288-3231
