Therefore, it is recommended that visitors to the forest contact the Ranger District Office which is nearest to their destination for the very latest information. Seasonal road closures on the Mount Pinos Ranger District went into effect December 14, 2016 in preparation for inclement weather. The following campgrounds, roads and OHV trail systems will close to protect public safety and road conditions. Closures will remain in effect throughout the period of wet weather and until crews are able to safely assess the surface conditions.
