Golden Eagles and Prairie and Peregrine Falcons are currently nesting in preparation for spring hatchlings. There are six nesting sites that will be closed until late Spring. The sites are:

Glencliff, Descanso Ranger District, Cleveland National Forest 

Corte Madera, Descanso Ranger District, Cleveland National Forest 

Eagle Peak,  Palomar Ranger District, Cleveland National Forest 

Gower Mountain, Palomar Ranger District, Cleveland National Forest 

Rock Mountain, BLM

El Cajon Mountain, BLM

Golden Eagle closures are in effect for Glencliff as of December 15, 2016.  

Prairie and Peregrine Falcon closures are in effect at Eagle Peak and Corte Madera Mountain as of March  1, 2017.
