Los Padres National Forest officials today announced seasonal road closures on the Ojai Ranger District beginning December 15 in preparation for inclement weather.

The Reyes Peak Road (6N06.1) and the Cherry Creek Road (6N01.1) will close on Dec. 15 and the Dough Flat Road (6N16) and the Nordhoff Ridge and Sisar Canyon Roads (5N08, 4N15.2) will close on Dec. 16 for the winter season.

The Pine Mountain and the Reyes Peak Campgrounds will also be closed.

These closures will not allow vehicle access to numerous trailheads; however, visitors will still be able to hike or bike to these trailheads.

The roads and campgrounds will reopen in May 2017. Members of the public are reminded that they should always call ahead to the district office for the latest conditions and consult the National Weather Service for current weather forecasts. For more information, please contact the Ojai District Office at (805) 646-4348.
